The Sultan Moulay Slimane University
The Sultan Moulay Slimane University, USMS. The Sultan Moulay Slimane University was created in 2007, but its major faculties were part of the Cadi Ayyad University for more than twenty years. The university offers a wide range of courses in the Faculty of Science and Technology which has departments ranging from biology, chemistry to mathematics, electricity and mechanics. The Polydisciplinary faculty offers courses such as Business, Management and Economics. The faculty of Arts and Humainties is made up of departments such as Languages, Geography and History.
There are about 300 full-time teaching staff members for about 21000 students in the university where the European LMD system is implemented. The course organisation in each faculty is based on semester modules. The university has about 25 accredited Research laboratories specialised in the different available research areas.
Given the importance attached to governance and, especially, human resources management, the Sultan Moulay Slimane University will do its best to contribute to the success of this project.
One of the topics in the second year of a Master in English Studies is devoted to gender studies. The Master is entitled Literary and Cultural Encounters.
